General Information
This deep garnet
Cabernet Sauvignon from Barkan's Altitude series is derived from
Barkan's cooler climate, high altitude vineyard at Moshav Alma (624
meters above sea level) in the Upper Galilee to achieve its intense
body and taste, solid tannic structure, and elegant finish. Oak-aged
for 15 months, the sweetness of raspberries and black cherries,
Oriental spices, as well as vanilla and cinnamon, provide a
tantalizing sensory experience. This wine pairs well with red meats,
pasta, lamb, and strong cheeses.
Kosher For Passover
Winemaker's Note
This dark garnet wine redolent in the nose with ripe, blackberries and
black cherries intermingled with sweet spices such as vanilla and
cinnamon. On the palate the fruit is powerful and concentrated, moving
between ripe and jammy, with tones of black cherries, cassis and
raspberries. The overall impression is one of complexity and elegance.
The finish is a harmonious, enduring and elegant interplay of sweet
fruit and spices. Best served with flavored chicken or red meat.
