General Information
Binyamina's Yogev series is dedicated to the wine growers and farmers
who work day and night to provide Binyamina with the highest quality
wine grapes. The Hebrew word Yogev means "tiller of the soil", the
laborer that works the land and causes it to flourish. The Yogev
Cabernet/Merlot is a blend of 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot. This
medium-bodied blend features soft tannins supporting delicious berry
flavors complimented by only light oak.
Kosher For Passover
Winemaker's Note
Made of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon from the vineyard of Eli Heiman in
Karmei Yosef, and 50% of Merlot from Dror Eliraz's vineyard in Lachish,
this wine was aged intentionally in used oak barrels for only 8 months
in order not to let the oak dominate. It features nice aromas of
blackberry and notes of fresh green herbs. Medium-bodied but a bit
light on the palate, with soft, light tannins,. Straightforward berry,
cassis fresh green herbs and plum fruits make this a good quaffer and
dinner wine. |
