General InformationBinyamina's
Yogev series is dedicated to the wine growers and farmers who work day
and night to provide Binyamina with the highest quality wine grapes.
The Hebrew word Yogev means "tiller of the soil", the laborer that
works the land and causes it to flourish. The Yogev Cabernet/Shiraz is
a blend of 50% Cabernet and 50% Shiraz. The Cab/Shiraz is medium
bodied with soft tannins with slightly spicy flavors of red fruit and
berries.
Kosher For Passover
Winemaker's Note
The Shiraz grapes for this appealing blend are from Yossi Abrasman's
vineyard in Kfar Kish, and the Cabernet grapes were grown in Karmei
Yosef by Zvi Shoseyov. A very successful equal blend of 50% of
Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, both fermented on their skins for two
weeks and aged intentionally in used oak barrels for only 8 months in
order not to let the oak dominate. Medium-bodied, with smooth tannins
and tempting hints of vanilla and smoky oak that allow the spicy
currant, berry, and light earthiness of the wine make themselves felt
