"This Chardonnay is impressive. It's power-packed with ripe pineapple
fruit that tastes as if it has been grilled in the barbecue, sprinkled
with brown sugar, drizzled with vanilla and honey and then liquefied.
The fusion of strong oak with fruit is impressive, as are the rich,
creamy texture and long, spicy aftertaste."

"Most impressive of the Chardonnays, perhaps, is Herzog’s Special
Reserve, from California’s Russian River Valley. Its light touch of
oak and added age lend depth to both bouquet and flavor."
Variety Magazine-Best of Tasting
Herzog Special Reserve Russian River Valley Chardonnay Belle of the
ball. Relatively balanced, full-bodied and creamy, with flavors of
oak, spicy pear and ripe Macintosh apple. Kavin compared it to a white
Burgundy, adding, "It's not easy to find a better kosher bottle." |
