General InformationOdem Mountain Winery, Israel's northernmost winery, was founded by the
Alfasi family. It lies in the northern Golan Heights in the heart of
an enchanting and secluded oak forest at an elevation of 1100 meters
above sea level. Volcanic Chardonnay is a dry white wine produced
purely from Chardonnay grapes, which went through a slow and cold
fermentation process. The wine was aged in French oak barrels over a
period of 5 months sur lie. Light golden in color, with an aromatic
nose and light wood influences, the wine's flavor reveals pineapple,
ripe melon fruits and citrus. The use of selected grapes combined with
aging in the finest oak barrels give this fresh, crisp wine a nice
long finish. This wine is part of a 4200 bottle edition, which was
filled in March 2007.
