Carmel Appellation Merlot 2003 Bottles/Case: 6 Mevushal: No Alc/Vol: 14% Size: 750 ml Region: Israel Type: Dry Color: Red Varietal: Merlot Supervision: OU General Information This dry red wine was
produced from a blend of Merlot grapes grown in the Upper Galilee.
After fermentation the wine underwent extended skin contact before
being transferred to French Oak barrels for a maturation period of 14
months. The Merlot is a rich purple in color and has a splendid aroma
of cassis, violets and bittersweet chocolate and is full bodied with a
long well balanced aftertaste. In order to preserve its full
potential, the wine was coarsely filtered prior to bottling and
therefore natural sediment could appear during bottle maturation. The Carmel wineries were established in 1882. Today Carmel is Israel's leading producer of wines and spirits, maintaining a careful balance between the traditional art of winemaking and the use of the latest technology. |
