Abarbanel
Abarbanel wines are produced by the Abarbanel Family- the world's
oldest Jewish family, tracing it's heritage to ancient Israel and most
notably to Don Isaac Abarbanel, the renowned Torah commentator and
last and greatest leader of Spanish Jewry before the expulsion in
1492.
Winemaker's Note
Abarbanel goes “Sideways” with our new Pinot Noir. Made from ripe
grapes grown on the Mambourg slopes at Sigolsheim in Alsace, this
Pinot Noir comes from 25 year-old-plus vines and is hand-harvested and
Estate Bottled. This Pinot was fermented on its skins for 10 days with
daily pumping over and an average of three releases during maceration.
100% stainless steel. Mevushal, O-U Certified. Value priced. Excellent
with poultry, veal, light pastas, salads, red snapper, trout. Smooth
berry fruit, easy finish.
Awards
Daniel Rogov 83 Points
“Light, almost dilute cherry red in
color but aromatic and with appealing berry, cherry fruits. Nothing
complex here but pleasant enough for brunches or picnics. Drink now.”
